Job summary

Placements24 seeks a meticulous Construction Planner to join their client’s team, offering a flexible, predominantly remote arrangement to support major infrastructure projects in the Western Cape, including Stellenbosch. You will develop, monitor, and optimize schedules, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in construction planning and scheduling on large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Strong analytical abilities and ability to interpret complex plans.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience developing and managing complex construction schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, activities, durations, and dependencies.
• Analyze progress, identify critical paths, and forecast delays or overruns.
• Develop resource loading and leveling plans to ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare regular progress reports, including schedule updates, performance metrics, and risk assessments for stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of tender planning and schedule-related bid submissions.
