Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Construction Planner to join the team in a fully remote capacity, supporting projects primarily around Vereeniging. You will develop, coordinate, and monitor project schedules, create detailed programs, and allocate resources from your home office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project coordination.
• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and sequences.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet tight deadlines in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and construction programs using project management software.
• Analyze project scope, requirements, and potential risks to create effective planning strategies.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure alignment and integration of plans.
• Monitor project progress against the schedule, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare resource allocation plans, including labor, materials, and equipment, to support project timelines.
• Communicate planning updates and critical path information to all relevant stakeholders.
