Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will develop comprehensive cost estimates for a range of construction projects, collaborating with project managers, engineers and procurement teams.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in estimating, with proficiency in PlanSwift, Bluebeam and Excel, and the ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as a Construction Estimator.
• Proficient in PlanSwift, Bluebeam and Excel.
• Able to read architectural/engineering drawings and specs.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints/specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Quantify materials, labor and equipment; obtain accurate pricing.
• Prepare bid proposals with detailed cost breakdowns.
• Review bids and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain a cost database for future reference and analysis.
• Collaborate with project teams to refine estimates with changes.
