Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Construction Estimator to join our growing team. You will analyze blueprints, specs, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for national construction projects.

This full-time, remote role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, proficiency with estimation software, and the ability to work independently to support competitive bids and project viability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Experience with estimation software including PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating.
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and other costs required to construct a building or infrastructure.
• Prepare bid proposals, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to clarify project scope and estimate details.
• Maintain an updated database of material costs, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing.
• Utilize estimation software and tools to streamline the bidding process and ensure accuracy.
