Job summary

Outsourcing Staffing Advantage is seeking detail-oriented Construction Estimators & Project Coordinators to support U.S.-based construction companies from a remote setting in South Africa. Develop accurate cost estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, review drawings, and coordinate project documentation throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or a related role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications.
• Knowledge of construction terminology, materials, methods, and estimating principles.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing cost estimates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication (C1+).
• Availability to work during Eastern Time (ET) business hours.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates based on project plans, specifications, and scope of work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for construction projects.
• Review blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and progress throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist project managers with planning, procurement, and project coordination.
• Maintain organized project records and documentation.
• Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Research material and labor costs to support accurate project estimates.
• Ensure estimates and project documentation are completed accurately and on schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam Revu, STACK, ProEst, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar platforms.
• Experience with project management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or Microsoft Project.
• Experience supporting residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects.
• Familiarity with subcontractor bidding, procurement, and vendor management.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Experience supporting U.S.-based construction companies.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot to improve workflow efficiency
