Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Sports Development Officer to drive and expand community sports participation from a fully remote location in Soweto, Gauteng. The role focuses on creating accessible and inclusive opportunities for all residents.

You will plan, implement and evaluate development initiatives, organize events, build partnerships with schools, clubs and government agencies, seek funding and manage grants, monitor KPIs and report outcomes, and promote active lifestyles for

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Public Health, or related discipline.
Experience in sports development or program management.
Knowledge of inclusive sports and active lifestyles.
Strong planning and communication skills.
Ability to work remotely and manage multiple projects.
Willingness to travel with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic plans for sports development in underserved communities.
Organize and deliver community sports programs, events, and workshops for diverse age groups.
Build relationships with schools, clubs, community groups, and agencies.
Seek funding and manage grants for sports development initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate programs and report KPIs and outcomes.
Promote inclusive participation for all abilities and backgrounds.
