Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a passionate and proactive Remote Community Sports Development Officer to drive engagement in sport programs across underserved communities. You will identify needs, design inclusive initiatives, and foster partnerships with schools, clubs, and local organizations.

In this fully remote role, you will plan, promote, and coordinate sporting activities using digital tools, monitor impact, and report outcomes to demonstrate social value.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in community or sports development.
• Proven ability to engage diverse community groups and build partnerships.
• Experience in program planning, coordination, and event management.
• Strong understanding of barriers to sports participation and strategies to overcome them.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and digital literacy skills.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for sports development within target communities and design needs-based programs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, schools, sports clubs, and local government bodies.
• Plan, promote, and coordinate accessible sports events, workshops, and leagues using digital tools.
• Recruit and support volunteers and coaches for community sports programs.
• Monitor and evaluate program impact, collecting data and reporting on outcomes.
• Advocate for the benefits of sport and physical activity within communities.
