Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Community Engagement Lead to drive remote community initiatives across Kimberley, Northern Cape and beyond. You will build partnerships with community groups, design engagement plans, and oversee online programs in a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate has a background in community development, strong communication skills, and at least 6 years of experience in engagement or program management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Communications, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 6 years in community engagement, outreach, or program management.
• Proven success in building relationships with diverse community groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community engagement strategies and action plans.
• Identify key stakeholders and potential partners for collaboration.
• Organize and facilitate virtual meetings, workshops, and forums.
• Build trusted relationships with community members and organizations.
• Represent the organization in online community events.
• Create engaging communications: newsletters, social media, reports.
• Monitor and evaluate engagement activities; gather feedback.
• Advocate for community needs and co-create solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources for engagement.
• Stay informed on community issues and relevant policies.
