Job summary

Placements24 is a remote-first organization seeking a versatile Communications Officer to manage internal and external messaging and amplify our client’s voice across channels.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field and 2–4 years of PR experience, with strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills. You will work independently from anywhere, supporting media, PR, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a communications or PR role.
• Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in using various communication platforms and tools, including social media management software.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal and external communication plans and strategies.
• Draft, edit, and proofread newsletters, reports, presentations, and website content.
• Manage corporate social media channels, creating engaging content and monitoring community interactions.
• Coordinate communication efforts for special projects and events.
• Assist in developing and executing crisis communication plans.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
