Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative Remote Communications Specialist for a non-profit focused on social justice and human rights. You will develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to raise awareness, engage stakeholders, and promote advocacy efforts from a fully remote position.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, and digital media skills, experience with CMS and email marketing, and a passion for social change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, PR, or related field.
• 3-5 years in communications, PR, or digital marketing for non-profits preferred.
• Proven ability to create high-quality written and visual content.
• Strong command of social media platforms and CMS.
• Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Remote work ability and strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated communication strategies across social media, website, email, and traditional media.
• Create engaging content: press releases, blogs, social updates, newsletters, and website copy.
• Manage and grow social media presence and engagement.
• Maintain and update the website with current, SEO-friendly content.
• Develop and manage email marketing campaigns.
• Monitor media coverage and social conversations relevant to the org.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
• Design visuals for digital and print materials.
• Organize and promote public events, webinars, and advocacy campaigns.
• Analyze metrics and report on campaign performance and audience engagement.
• Stay updated on trends to enhance outreach efforts.
