Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Civil Transportation Engineer to contribute to urban planning and transportation infrastructure projects. This role focuses on traffic management, public transport, and non‑motorized transport, all while working remotely with a distributed team.

You will plan, analyze, and design transportation systems to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability in urban environments, collaborating with stakeholders virtually and delivering

Formación

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Transportation Engineering or Urban Planning.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in transportation planning and design.
• Demonstrated experience with transportation modeling and simulation software.
• Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, urban design, and public policy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct traffic impact studies, demand forecasting, and transportation network analysis using specialized software (e.g., VISSIM, TransCAD).
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs for road networks, intersections, public transport facilities, and pedestrian/cycling infrastructure.
• Prepare transportation planning reports, feasibility studies, and policy recommendations.
• Collaborate remotely with clients, government agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
• Ensure transportation designs adhere to safety standards, accessibility requirements, and environmental considerations.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and support the procurement process.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in transportation engineering and urban mobility.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through virtual presentations.
