Placements24 is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer in transportation and road network design to join a remote-first team. You will plan, design, and analyze highways, urban streets, and intersections, applying traffic engineering principles and pavement design methods.

The role emphasizes autonomous work, collaboration with a national team, and remote site activities. Candidates should have a BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years in transportation/road network design.
• Experience with transportation design software and traffic modeling tools.
• Knowledge of SA road standards and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop road network designs including alignments and intersections.
• Conduct traffic studies, capacity analysis, and traffic management plans.
• Design pavements based on traffic loading and material properties.
• Produce drawings and specs using CAD and design software.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, and stakeholders.
• Support data collection, verification, and remote construction activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
