Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly competent Remote Civil Engineer to lead the design, planning, and oversight of large-scale infrastructure projects. This fully remote role enables you to contribute from anywhere while coordinating with geographically dispersed teams.

You will work on roads, bridges, and water systems, employing Civil 3D and AutoCAD (HEC-RAS where needed) and ensuring environmental compliance and safety from conception through to project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive civil-infrastructure experience.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and HEC-RAS.
• Strong knowledge of South African standards and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan civil infrastructure projects including roads and earthworks.
• Use CAD and engineering software to create detailed drawings and models.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for compliance.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality and safety.
• Monitor progress and address technical challenges.
