Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Civil Infrastructure Engineer to design, plan, and oversee civil infrastructure components for projects across South Africa. This fully remote role lets you contribute to critical infrastructure while working from anywhere.

You will collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, perform detailed calculations, prepare CAD drawings and tender docs, and ensure compliance with standards and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in civil infrastructure design and planning.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil Designer, or similar civil engineering design software.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure development principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective remote teamwork.
• Ability to manage project tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a self-directed environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for civil infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater systems, and site services.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis for infrastructure components.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation using CAD software.
• Collaborate remotely with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
• Conduct virtual site assessments and provide technical guidance based on data and reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
