Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Civil Engineer to lead design and oversight of large-scale infrastructure projects from a fully remote setting. You will collaborate with a dispersed team, using CAD tools to deliver roads, bridges, and water systems while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of design/project management experience, preferably in infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management, preferably with infrastructure focus.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, soil mechanics, and hydrology principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain one is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and water systems, using CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site analyses, and environmental impact assessments for proposed projects.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, calculations, and reports required for project approval and execution.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and government agencies through virtual communication channels.
• Monitor project progress remotely, troubleshoot design-related issues, and provide technical guidance to on-site teams when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements for infrastructure development in George.
