Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Civil Engineer specializing in municipal services to join a fully remote team. Lead planning, design and implementation of water, sewer, and stormwater projects across South Africa, ensuring compliance with SANS and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 6 years designing municipal infrastructure.
• Pr.Eng or Candidate Engineer with ECSA registration is required.
• Experience with water, sewer and stormwater systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and water modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Design municipal water supply, wastewater and stormwater drainage systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and conceptual designs.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and tender docs.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS and municipal bylaws.
• Manage projects remotely from conception to construction administration.
• Liaise with clients and municipal officials to meet requirements.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and network modelling.
• Oversee QA/QC of design deliverables.
• Assist in project proposals and cost estimates.
• Stay updated on municipal engineering advances.
