Placements24 is seeking a proactive Civil Engineer to drive infrastructure development from a remote capacity across the Eastern Cape and beyond. You will lead planning, design, and oversight of public and private sector projects, collaborating with project managers, consultants, and government bodies to ensure success.

The role emphasizes independence, strong CAD skills, and a deep understanding of municipal planning processes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in infrastructure design and project management.
• Proficiency in CAD software and civil engineering design tools.
• Strong understanding of municipal planning processes and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent remote collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead conceptualization and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including roads, bulk services, and public spaces.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact analyses for proposed developments.
• Develop project specifications, tender documents, and construction management plans.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including municipal authorities, utility providers, and contractors, to facilitate project execution.
• Monitor project progress, quality, and budget adherence, providing regular reports and recommendations.
• Ensure all designs and projects comply with relevant South African engineering standards and environmental legislation.
