Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Chemical Safety and Compliance Engineer to join their fully remote team. You will lead risk assessments, develop safety policies, and ensure compliance with EHS regulations from a home office.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience in chemical safety or EHS compliance, with strong analytical, communication, and remote-collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in chemical safety, process safety management (PSM), or EHS compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations and hazard identification techniques (HAZOP, FMEA).
• Strong analytical and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses for chemical processes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training.
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international EHS regulations.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to engineering, operations, and R&D teams on safety matters.
• Stay current with evolving safety regulations and best practices.
