Placements24 is seeking a forward-thinking Remote Chemical Process Engineer to join its New Ventures team. This fully remote role focuses on exploring novel chemical processes and pilot-scale evaluations from anywhere, shaping the future of chemical manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years in process design or R&D, experience with Aspen Plus, and strong remote collaboration skills to drive innovative projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in process design, development or R&D in chemical industry.
Experience with process simulation software (Aspen Plus) is essential.

Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual design for new chemical processes and technologies.
Develop PFDs and P&IDs for new ventures.
Perform mass and energy balances, and preliminary equipment sizing.
Support pilot plant design, operation, and data analysis for new process validation.
Collaborate remotely with R&D, business development and external partners.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and investment proposals for new projects.
