About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Catering Operations Coordinator to support their expanding catering services. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of all catering events managed from a distance. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing schedules, liaising with vendors and on-site teams, and ensuring all operational aspects align with company standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the logistics for multiple catering events simultaneously, managing schedules and resource allocation remotely.
• Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, suppliers, and on-site catering teams, facilitating clear communication.
• Ensure all necessary equipment, supplies, and staffing are confirmed and in place for each event.
• Maintain accurate operational records, including inventory, event details, and feedback, using digital systems.
• Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise remotely to ensure seamless event execution.

Requirements

• Previous experience in operations coordination , logistics, or event management, ideally in a remote capacity.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong ability to manage details remotely.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for communication, project management, and record-keeping.
• Excellent problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
• Strong understanding of the catering or hospitality industry is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team environment in Paarl .
