Job summary

ISTA Personnel Solutions is recruiting a fully remote Bookkeeper for a U.S.-based ABA therapy provider. The role focuses on monthly reconciliations, high-volume payments and deposits, and ensuring accurate ledger entries from South Africa.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel and QuickBooks experience, attention to detail, and excellent English communication to liaise with US-based leadership. The position requires SA residency and remote work readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals.
• Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to meet deadlines during month-end.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations for multiple accounts.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies accurately.
• Record and process payments and deposits with correct coding.
• Post payroll-related entries (payroll processing not included).
• Review employee expense claims for policy compliance.
• Support month-end close with schedules, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Communicate clearly with US-based management and teams.
