About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking construction technology firm, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Remote BIM Modeler with specialist skills in Revit to join their expanding virtual team. While the company has a physical presence, this role is designed to be fully remote, allowing you to contribute to cutting-edge construction projects from the comfort of your home office, regardless of your physical location within South Africa. You will be instrumental in developing and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for a variety of exciting construction ventures. This position requires a deep understanding of BIM processes, exceptional proficiency in Revit, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a virtual environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and manage BIM models using Autodesk Revit across various project stages (conceptual design, detailed design, construction documentation).
• Ensure models adhere to BIM execution plans, project standards, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with remote project teams, including architects, engineers, and other modelers, through virtual communication platforms.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar software to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Generate 2D drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models as required.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of BIM content libraries and templates.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in BIM technology and workflows.
• Provide technical support and guidance on BIM-related issues to project teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and standards.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within all managed models.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a BIM Modeler or similar role, with a strong focus on Autodesk Revit.
• Demonstrable portfolio showcasing complex BIM models and projects.
• Proficiency in other relevant BIM software such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.
• Solid understanding of BIM principles, workflows, and execution plans (BEP).
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills, capable of managing workload effectively from a remote location.
• Knowledge of construction processes and various building disciplines.
• While the role is remote, a connection to projects within Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA may be advantageous for context.
