Job summary

Remote Choice in South Africa is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead BIM-coordinated design projects and own the day-to-day delivery across multiple live assignments.

The role focuses on BIM coordination, drawing/model issue registers, design programmes, and maintaining CDE workflows in line with ISO 19650, while proactive communication with clients helps flag risk early and protect project timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on construction, MEP or BIM-coordinated design projects.
• Experience managing distributed/remote design teams.
• Strong knowledge of BIM coordination processes, issue registers and design programmes.
• Familiarity with CDEs and document-control workflows; ISO 19650 preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client management.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage several live projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple live design projects simultaneously, keeping programmes, issue dates and deliverables on track.
• Coordinate distributed design teams, contractors and clients, resolving coordination queries and clash issues before they impact issue dates.
• Own and maintain drawing/model issue registers, ensuring accuracy before external issue.
• Manage RFIs, variations and scope changes with clear evidence trails for commercial positions.
• Run coordination calls and design review meetings, ensuring timely actions.
• Maintain CDE and document-control workflows in line with ISO 19650 principles.
• Keep programme trackers, resourcing logs and timesheets accurate across projects.
• Communicate proactively with clients and stakeholders, flagging risk and scope issues early.
