Job summary

RPO Recruitment is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead BIM implementation, standards, and technology adoption across civil, structural, and MEP projects in a multi-location South African setting.

The role focuses on developing BIM strategy, coordinating models, and ensuring adherence to BEPs and LOD requirements while supporting project teams across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• BIM certification and advanced Revit Structures proficiency required.
• Experience with BIM 360 (Documents and Design) is essential.
• Strong track record coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific protocols.
• Define and implement BIM standards aligned with client requirements.
• Oversee BIM workflows across Civil, Structural and MEP teams.
• Ensure models meet Levels of Development (LOD) and coordination standards.
• Manage model federation, clash detection, and coordination processes.
• Provide training and technical support on BIM tools (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks).

A leading multi-sector consultancy is seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead the implementation, optimisation, and oversight of BIM processes, standards, and technologies across multidisciplinary engineering projects. This is a permanent opportunity within a growing digital and engineering environment, supporting complex infrastructure and building developments. Locations available: Johannesburg or Durban or Cape Town.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving BIM strategy, ensuring model coordination, and supporting project teams across civil, structural, and MEP disciplines.

Minimum Requirements

• BIM certification
• Autodesk Certified Professional – Revit Structures
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience using Revit Structures in a professional environment
• Experience with BIM 360 (Documents and Design)
• Knowledge of SANS 10400, SANS 10100, and SANS 10162
• Strong experience working within multidisciplinary engineering projects
• Engineering-related qualification advantageous
