Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Remote Aviation Operations Analyst to join a global team based in Cape Town. The role focuses on optimizing flight schedules, analyzing operational efficiency and identifying improvements within the airline network.

You will work with large datasets using Excel, SQL, Python or R to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. This fully remote position offers flexible hours and a chance to work with an international airline, from anywhere.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in aviation operations analysis or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
• Strong understanding of airline operations, scheduling and network planning.

Responsibilities

• Analyze flight operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
• Monitor real-time flight operations and provide analysis during irregular operations.
• Collaborate with scheduling, network planning and flight crew departments to implement improvements.
• Research industry best practices and emerging technologies in aviation operations.
