Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Senior Flight Operations Analyst to join a global team near Sandton. You will analyze flight data to optimize schedules, improve safety and punctuality, and enhance cost efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will develop KPIs, report to management, and collaborate with planning, dispatch and crew scheduling using SQL, Python, R, Excel and Tableau to deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aviation Management, Operations Research, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years experience as a Flight Operations Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the aviation industry.
• Expertise in data analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel, Tableau).
• Strong understanding of flight operations, air traffic control, and aviation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze flight operations data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in safety, punctuality, and cost.
• Develop and maintain KPIs for flight operations and provide regular reports to management.
• Optimize flight schedules, routing, and resource allocation using advanced analytical techniques and software.
• Collaborate with planning, dispatch, and crew scheduling to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Conduct post-flight analyses, investigate operational deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting flight operations.
