Placements24 is seeking a motivated Remote Aircraft Systems Analyst to join its globally distributed team. You will analyze aircraft performance data, identify issues, and recommend improvements to enhance safety and reliability from anywhere.

Based near Pretoria, this fully remote role requires strong data analysis skills and experience with MATLAB, Python, or R to support fleet management and decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft systems analysis, performance monitoring, or reliability engineering.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software (MATLAB, Python, R) and databases.
• Excellent understanding of aircraft systems, aerodynamics, and propulsion.
• Ability to work independently and communicate complex technical information clearly in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze aircraft performance data from various sensors and systems.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and potential failure modes within aircraft systems.
• Develop reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommending corrective actions or design improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operational teams remotely to implement recommended changes.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and analytical techniques relevant to aircraft systems performance.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of data analysis tools and methodologies.
