Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Automotive Software Engineer to join a distributed development team and help design, develop, and implement software for next-generation vehicles from a home office.

You will work on embedded systems, infotainment, ADAS, and cloud connectivity using C/C++, Python, or Java, collaborating with global teams in a remote-first culture that supports growth and impact within automotive tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven automotive software development experience with embedded systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or Java for embedded development.
• Experience with RTOS and embedded development environments.
• Familiarity with CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and related vehicle networks.
• Experience with Git and modern build systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software for automotive applications including embedded systems and RTOS.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, and other software developers to define software requirements and architecture.
• Develop components for ADAS, infotainment, vehicle networking, and cloud connectivity.
• Write clean, well-documented code in languages such as C, C++, Python, or Java.
• Perform software integration, debugging, and testing across multiple environments.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and security guidelines.
• Participate in Agile development ceremonies and sprints.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to validate software functionality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
• Stay updated with trends and technologies in automotive software engineering.
