Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Automotive Software Development Lead to steer software engineering teams across in-car infotainment, ADAS, and connectivity platforms. You will guide architecture, design, development, and deployment while mentoring engineers and promoting a culture of technical excellence.

The role requires a deep automotive software background, strong leadership, and expertise in C++, Java, and Python, with remote collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role within the automotive industry.
• Proven experience developing software for automotive systems (infotainment, ADAS, or powertrain).
• Strong expertise in C++, Java, Python and embedded systems.
• Deep knowledge of software architecture patterns and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of automotive software engineers in a remote setting.
• Define and drive the software development roadmap aligned with product strategy.
• Architect and design scalable, secure software solutions for automotive applications.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and QA processes.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, product managers, and QA testers.
• Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies and methodologies.
• Conduct code reviews and share knowledge across the team.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and risks effectively.
• Champion continuous improvement and technical excellence in software.
