Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated systems for manufacturing facilities worldwide. This fully remote role emphasizes independence, proactive problem solving, and delivering safe, efficient automation solutions.

You will design control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA), program and commission robotics, provide remote support, and collaborate with on-site teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proven automation engineer with a strong project portfolio.
• Proficient in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) and HMI/SCADA.
• Experience with robotics, motion control, and industrial networking.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and remote collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated control systems using PLC, HMI, and SCADA.
• Program, test, and commission automation equipment and robotics.
• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation scope.
• Stay current with emerging automation technologies.
