Somewhere is seeking an AP Clerk / Accounting Assistant to own day-to-day accounts payable and liaise with Ramp and NetSuite. You will ensure accurate cost tracking, review expenses, and produce monthly reports for leadership.

The role also covers vendor contract management and sales tax compliance, including renewal tracking, tax exemption handling, and negotiating terms across warehouse locations. Remote work with US EST hours suits organized accounting professionals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' hands-on accounts payable or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP.
• Experience with Ramp, Brex, Expensify.
• Fluent English, strong vendor negotiation skills.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and AP reconciliation.
• Based in South Africa, available to work US EST hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage End-to-End Accounts Payable: process, verify, and reconcile daily AP transactions between Ramp and NetSuite with high accuracy.
• Review and audit expenses, ensure proper receipts and correct cost allocation.
• Log vendor invoices and expenditures into chart-of-accounts codes and ledgers.
• Prepare end-of-month AP summaries, spend variance analyses and cash disbursement reports.
• Act as primary contact for vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
