Job summary

The Talent Room is seeking a meticulous Remote Accounts Payable Specialist to manage all accounts payable tasks from a home-based office, ensuring timely payments and accurate vendor coding.

You will reconcile statements, maintain the AP ledger, respond to vendor inquiries, and assist with month-end closing. Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero and MS Excel is essential for success in this fully remote role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately with proper coding and approvals.
• Prepare and schedule timely payments to vendors via EFT, Cheques, or other methods.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain the accounts payable ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with month-end closing procedures for AP.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining AP policies and procedures.
