Placements24 is seeking a Remote Actuarial Analyst to join a forward-thinking insurance team. You will apply advanced mathematical methods to assess financial risk, develop pricing strategies, and work with large datasets to inform product development, reserving, and capital management.

The role requires progress toward or completion of actuarial qualifications, plus at least 3 years in an insurance actuary role.

Qualifications

• Progress toward or completion of actuarial qualifications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an actuarial role within the insurance industry.
• Proficiency in actuarial modeling software, programming languages (Python, R) and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting insurance liabilities.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, assess risk factors, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Collaborate with product teams to design new insurance products and evaluate their financial viability.
• Assist in regulatory filings and financial reporting with accuracy and compliance.
• Stay current with industry best practices and actuarial techniques.
• Communicate complex actuarial findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
