Job summary

Placements24 seeks a remote Senior Insurance Actuary to join its fully remote team, focusing on pricing, reserving, and forecasting across multiple lines. You will develop sophisticated models and work with an international team of actuaries, underwriters, and finance professionals.

The ideal candidate has Fellowship/Associateship in a recognized actuarial society and at least 7 years of relevant experience, with strong skills in Prophet, MoSes, Python, R, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Fellowship or Associateship in a recognized actuarial society (e.g., FSA, ASA, FIA, FASSA).
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry, with focus on actuarial analysis.
• Proficiency in actuarial software (Prophet, MoSes) and programming languages (Python, R, SQL).
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with risk management principles and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain sophisticated actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting across various insurance lines.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, assess risks, and provide data-driven insights for strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements and actuarial standards of practice.
• Collaborate with product development teams to design and price new insurance products.
• Perform peer reviews of actuarial work performed by other members of the team.
• Communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
