Placements24 is seeking a bright actuarial analyst to join the life insurance team in Klerksdorp. You will help price new products, value liabilities, and monitor reserves to support the financial soundness of the portfolio.

You will collaborate with product development, finance, and risk management to deliver actuarial insights and drive strategic decisions in a dynamic market within the North West region. Fully remote working environment offered, with flexibility for colleagues across SA.

Qualifications

• Progress towards or completion of ASSA actuarial exams.
• 2–4 years of actuarial experience in life insurance.
• Knowledge of valuation techniques.
• Proficiency in Prophet or MoSes and Excel/SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pricing models for life insurance products.
• Valuation of liabilities and reserving requirements.
• Analyze profitability and experience studies (mortality, morbidity, persistency).
• Support actuarial software implementation and methodologies.
• Prepare reports and present findings to senior management.
• Collaborate with product development to design competitive insurance solutions.
