Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Actuarial Analyst for a fully remote role within the life insurance division. You will build pricing, reserving, and forecasting models, and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and risks that influence product profitability.

The role requires a quantitative degree, progress toward actuarial exams, and proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and SAS. Excellent communication and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• Progress towards or completion of actuarial exams (e.g., SOA, CAS).
• Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (R, Python, SQL, SAS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to non-actuaries.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote capacity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting life insurance products.
• Perform statistical analysis of large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist in development and refinement of new insurance products and features.
• Support valuation of policy liabilities and assessment of capital requirements.
