Job summary

Luxury game lodge near Hoedspruit is seeking an experienced Relief/Assistant Spa Manager to support daily spa operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You will assist with spa management, deliver treatments, guide therapists, handle bookings and stock, and maintain exceptional hygiene and presentation standards. A Somatology qualification, 7 years’ experience, leadership skills and a valid licence are required. 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

Qualifications

• Recognised Somatology qualification.
• Total 7 years’ experience; 5 years as Spa Therapist, 2 as Senior Spa Therapist.
• Experience in a high-end spa, luxury hotel or lodge.
• Strong treatment skills and exceptional guest service.
• Proven leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Willingness to work a 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off cycle.

• Deliver professional spa treatments and personalised guest care.
• Support and guide the therapist team to maintain consistently high treatment and service standards.
• Coordinate treatment bookings, staff schedules and guest requirements.
• Assist with stock control, product orders and retail sales.
• Maintain treatment rooms, equipment and spa facilities to the required hygiene and presentation standards.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
• Assist with spa administration and reporting.

Requirements:

• Recognised qualification in Somatology.
• A minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience, including at least 5 years as a Spa Therapist and 2 years as a Senior Spa Therapist.
• Experience in a high-end spa, luxury hotel or lodge environment preferred.
• Strong treatment skills and a commitment to exceptional guest service.
• Good leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• Willingness to work a cycle of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off.
