Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Regional Warehouse and Distribution Manager to lead operations in the Northern Cape, based in Upington. The role oversees warehouse management, inventory control, and outbound distribution, driving efficiency, cost control, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive warehouse and distribution management experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience managing large-scale distribution centers.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and WMS.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Oversee inventory management processes with accuracy and cycle counts.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, supervisors, and clerks.
• Ensure health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs and carriers for inbound/outbound transport.
• Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) and related tech.
• Develop and manage the warehouse budget and control expenditures.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales and transportation departments to align supply chain activities.
