Placements24 client in South Africa is seeking a Senior Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee our Upington facility in the Northern Cape. You will lead day-to-day functions across receiving, storage, order fulfillment and shipping, while shaping strategies to improve efficiency, safety and cost-effectiveness.

You will manage a large team, implement WMS-driven processes, ensure health and safety compliance, and collaborate with procurement and sales to optimise the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive warehouse/logistics operations experience.
• Experience managing large teams and complex warehouses.
• Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory control.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or logistics operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in managing large teams and complex warehouse operations.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to warehousing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with lean methodologies or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
