Job summary

Radiant Hospitality Company in Johannesburg invites an experienced Training Manager to lead the Group's Training, Franchise and Operations team from head office. You will own brand training across the region, design programmes, write content, manage a budget, and develop your team while proving training adds value on the floor.

You will report to the Senior Training Manager, and the role requires engagement with franchise partners and company sites, with a strong emphasis on developing people,

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Training Manager or Learning and Development Manager within a multi site hospitality, restaurant or premium retail business.
• Demonstrable experience designing and writing training programmes and material from scratch, not only facilitation of existing content.
• Experience compiling and managing an annual training budget and delivering within it.
• Experience leading, coaching and performance managing a training team.
• Strong training needs analysis skills translating business needs into a costed, deadline driven plan.
• Experience building evaluation methods that measure training effectiveness and reporting to senior management.
• Confident stakeholder management across operations, HR and franchise partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a customer focused training function aligned to Vision and Values.
• Conduct training needs analyses and engage the business to understand up-skilling themes.
• Manage development and delivery of training plans across the region, to deadline and within budget.
• Develop a clear training strategy for the brand and franchisee business with senior stakeholders.
• Identify and develop new training programmes and content; source outside consultants and trainers.
• Formulate training programmes based on identified needs and company processes.
• Compile and manage the annual training budget and ensure spend compliance.
• Support HR on talent and appraisal processes; provide up-skilling interventions.
• Develop training interventions that support talent development with leadership.
• Monitor learning impact across the business and drive improvements.
• Deliver programmes that foster coaching and mentoring culture and clear career paths.
• Lead and performance manage training staff; hire and develop the team.
• Train Specialists in orientation, on-the-job training, sales, health and safety, and management development.
• Develop systems to evaluate training delivery and effectiveness across the region.
• Produce reports on delivery vs plan and address issues.
• Collaborate on communication strategy to align regional training with the business.
• Ensure training interventions align with Vision and Values.
• Evaluate training effectiveness with franchisees and drive continuous improvement.
