Job summary

University of Fort Hare in Cape Town seeks an experienced Technical Sales Consultant to support and develop the installer network within the region. This role blends technical expertise, field support, relationship management and sales development.

You will work closely with installers, providing technical guidance, supporting installations and diagnostics, promoting products and services, and identifying opportunities to grow product adoption within your territory (Cape Town).

Qualifications

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
Technical Diploma or N4 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering would be advantageous.
Minimum 3 years' experience in technical sales or field support.
Strong ability to troubleshoot and engage customers effectively.
Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with installers in the assigned region.
Support and empower installers to promote the full product and service offering.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities via installer channels.
Identify and onboard potential new installers to expand the network.
Conduct regular site visits for installations, diagnostics and escalations.
Record interactions and site visits in the CRM and submit weekly reports.
