Regional Sales Engineer – Pumps for Mining

Job summary

You will build strong client relationships, coordinate site visits, and assist with commissioning of pumps while providing accurate product and pricing details. A mine/pump background and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• BEng Mechanical or Metallurgical Degree or B Tec Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and project management tools.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Pump experience is essential.
• At least 4 years' experience at a mine or within a slurry pump company.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of assigned clients and foster long-term relationships.
• Understand products/services and communicate benefits to end users.
• Support Regional/Area Manager in achieving yearly targets.
• Prepare customized sales plans for key clients with Regional/Area Manager.
• Provide after-sales support to retain customers and respond to queries.
• Promote new products/services to existing customers.
• Coordinate site visits and commissioning of pumps.
• Monitor pump reliability and report on account status.
