Job summary

Wheco Group is seeking an experienced Sales and Retail Operations Manager to lead a regional portfolio of 8–10 stores in Gauteng, South Africa. You will drive sales growth, profitability, and brand standards while building and mentoring store leadership teams.

You’ll coordinate merchandising, stock control, and compliance, analyse performance, and support new openings and promotions to fuel business growth. Travel within the region is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior multi-site retail leadership experience.
• Diploma in Retail Management or related field; degree advantageous.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the defined region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a portfolio of approximately 8-10 retail stores within a defined region

• Ensure operational excellence, including visual merchandising, stock control, and compliance
• Analyse sales performance and implement action plans to drive results
• Support new store openings, promotions, and business growth initiatives

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Retail Management, Business Management, or a related field; a Degree or advanced qualification is advantageous
• Valid driver's license
• 5+ years' experience in a senior multi-site retail leadership role
• Experience within furniture, homeware, lifestyle, or a related retail environment is advantageous
