Job summary

Wheco Group is seeking an experienced Sales and Retail Operations Manager to lead a regional portfolio of 8–10 stores in Gauteng, South Africa. You will drive sales growth, profitability, and brand standards while building and mentoring store leadership teams.

You’ll coordinate merchandising, stock control, and compliance, analyse performance, and support new openings and promotions to fuel business growth. Travel within the region is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior multi-site retail leadership experience.
• Diploma in Retail Management or related field; degree advantageous.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the defined region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a portfolio of 8–10 retail stores within a defined region.
• Drive sales growth and improve store profitability.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Store Managers and teams.
• Ensure operational excellence including merchandising, stock control, and compliance.
• Analyse sales performance and implement action plans.
• Support new store openings, promotions and growth initiatives.
• Ensure brand consistency and customer experience across stores.
• Build talent pipelines and develop future retail leaders.
