Job summary

Recruitment Matters Africa (Pvt) Ltd seeks a Regional Retail Leader to drive sales, operations, and people performance across multiple stores in the Western Cape. You will coach Store Managers, analyse store performance, and implement actions to improve results while ensuring customer experience and compliance with standards.

Own regional stock controls, budgets, and profitability, and build strong relationships with internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12; tertiary qualification preferred
• 8–10+ years progressive retail experience
• Significant multi-site or regional retail management experience
• Experience managing Store Managers or senior retail leaders
• POS, stock management, CRM, financial systems, and MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead sales, operational, and people performance across multiple stores in the region.
• Coach and hold Store Managers accountable for performance and customer experience.
• Analyse store performance and implement corrective action plans to improve results.
• Conduct regular store visits and ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Oversee regional stock accuracy, losses, variances, stocktakes, and inventory controls.
• Manage staffing, performance, development, turnover, and succession planning.
• Monitor regional budgets, expenses, productivity, and profitability.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.

Job description

• Matric / Grade 12 with relevant tertiary qualification preferred.
• 8–10+ years’ progressive retail experience, including multi-site or regional management.
• Proven experience managing and developing Store Managers and senior retail teams.
• Strong commercial experience in sales, profitability, budgets, stock, and regional KPIs.
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, customer experience, stock control, and loss prevention.
• Proficiency in retail systems, POS, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
