About the Role

Our client, a prestigious and rapidly expanding retail group, is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Regional Retail Sales Director to lead operations in the vibrant Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal area. This executive position is crucial for driving revenue growth, enhancing market penetration, and upholding the company's reputation for excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting strategic sales targets, managing a team of store managers, and ensuring the flawless execution of sales strategies across all retail outlets in the region. This role demands a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the retail landscape in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal and a passion for delivering outstanding sales performance. As this is a critical on-site leadership role, it requires a full-time presence within the designated operational region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed regional sales targets for all retail locations in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
• Lead, coach, and develop the regional sales team, including store managers, to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
• Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities, providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring a superior customer experience at every touchpoint.
• Manage operational budgets and P&L statements for the region, ensuring profitability and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to align sales initiatives with product launches and promotional campaigns.
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards across all retail operations.
• Identify opportunities for new business development and expansion within the Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal market.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in retail sales leadership, with a significant portion spent in a senior regional management capacity.
• Demonstrated success in driving substantial sales growth and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
• Proven expertise in sales strategy development, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with a track record of developing high-performing sales teams.
• Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and budget forecasting.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is essential.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, and able to travel extensively within the region as required.
