Job summary

Glasshouse Recruiting is seeking a Regional Manager - Retail for Johannesburg. The role focuses on leading Area Supervisors to execute regional strategy, ensure brand standards, and drive performance across the region.

You will coordinate programs, manage budgets, and maintain strong relationships with mall management and internal teams. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a Manager of Managers role, excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills, and a readiness to travel as needed

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years experience as a Manager of Manager is required
• Drivers License and own car - Able to travel within division and other provinces
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with persuasive influence
• Negotiation & strategic thinking abilities
• Analytical and quantitative skills to drive results
• Flexible and able to work shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
• Leads by example with high performance and excellence
• Proficient in data interpretation and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to summarise large datasets into actionable information
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills; able to communicate with senior client management
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines and budget
• Sustained leadership capabilities in Manager of Managers role

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop Area Supervisors to achieve Operational objectives
• Implement and monitor regional operational plans and governance
• Coordinate brand programmes and regional cycle execution
• Ensure in-store execution targets align with Operational Strategy
• Develop regional KPIs and track results for programs
• Maintain relationships with mall management and external stakeholders
• Provide leadership and training to Area Supervisors on client systems and processes
• Ensure governance and controls for cash and stock discrepancies
• Manage regional budget and productivity targets
• Collaborate with National Operations Manager on planning and reporting
