Placements24 is seeking an experienced Regional Delivery Fleet Manager to oversee delivery operations across Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This role combines strategic planning from an office base with essential on-site oversight, leading drivers and dispatchers to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in fleet/logistics, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of Western Cape road networks and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
• Proven experience managing delivery fleets, preferably in retail or distribution.
• Strong knowledge of Western Cape road networks and logistics challenges.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the regional delivery fleet, including scheduling and dispatch.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of goods across the region.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, repair schedules, and regulatory fleet compliance.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of drivers and dispatch personnel.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize delivery routes and reduce costs.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics such as fuel consumption and delivery times.
• Maintain records of fleet activities, inventory, and expenditures.
