Placements24 is seeking a motivated Recruitment Consultant for the Bloemfontein area. You will manage end-to-end recruitment in FMCG and Retail, sourcing and screening candidates, and placing them in roles spanning sales, marketing, operations, and management.

The role blends office-based collaboration with flexible hybrid work. You will build strong client relationships, provide market insights, and drive successful placements within the Free State business community.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent recruitment consultancy, is seeking a motivated and skilled Recruitment Consultant to join their team in Bloemfontein, Free State. This role will focus on servicing clients within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Retail sectors. You will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process, from understanding client needs to sourcing, screening, and placing candidates in roles ranging from sales and marketing to operations and management. A genuine interest in these dynamic industries and a passion for connecting talent with opportunity are key. This hybrid role allows for a blend of office-based interaction and remote flexibility. Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for roles within the FMCG and Retail industries, including sales, marketing, operations, supply chain, and management positions.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients in the FMCG and Retail sectors.
• Source, screen, and interview candidates to assess their qualifications, experience, and suitability for client roles.
• Utilize various recruitment channels, including online job boards, social media, networking, and database searches.
• Provide clients with market insights and recruitment advice.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience and manage expectations throughout the hiring process.
• Meet and exceed individual placement and revenue targets.
• Collaborate with team members to share market intelligence and best practices.
• Stay informed about trends and developments within the FMCG and Retail industries in Bloemfontein.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of recruitment experience, preferably with exposure to the FMCG or Retail sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vacancies and client relationships simultaneously.
• Strong sourcing and interviewing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Organized, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
• A tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or Human Resources is beneficial.
• Must be eligible to work in South Africa and based in or able to commute to Bloemfontein, Free State.
