Job description
Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Reconciliation Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of financial transactions, maintaining the integrity of financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role is vital in identifying discrepancies, investigating variances, and supporting the broader accounting function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank statements, ledger accounts, and other financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and organized reconciliation records and audit trails.
  • Work closely with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other finance team members to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions, expense reports, and petty cash as needed.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and summaries for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing necessary documentation.
  • Continuously review and improve reconciliation procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in an accounting or reconciliation role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
